DHS: Nearly 2,000 children separated from their parents at US-Mexico border


A Department of Homeland Security spokesman confirms 1,995 children were separated from 1,940 adults at the US-Mexico border from April 19 through May 31; all parents were referred for prosecution for illegal entry into the US under the Trump administration's new “zero tolerance” policy.
