The 21-year-old man wanted in connection with the murder of North Carolina man Esau Abraham Brenes has been found shot to death.
Francisco Rivas Galves-Huezo was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds last Friday near Highway 421. His remains were positively identified Tuesday.
Officials say the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition, according to NBC affiliate WXII.
Galves-Huezo had been charged with first-degree murderand robbery with a dangerous weapon, in connection with Brenes's death. Brenes, 25, was last seen in Siler City, North Carolina on October 4th, after family members say he drove a high school acquaintance and two strangers home in his green Mini Cooper. His body was discovered on October 24th along a road near the outskirts of Siler City.
