A Pennsylvania woman who vanished last week has been found safe, her family members tell Dateline.
Julie McCutcheon, 36, vanished while house and pet-sitting for a co-worker in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The last time anyone saw or spoke with her was on Wednesday, August 10.
Julie's sister, Rachel Stottlemyer, told Dateline Thursday morning that there aren't many details available yet, but her parents are on the way to be reunited with Julie.
"We would just like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and help in finding her and bringing her home," Rachel said.
Family members grew alarmed after attempts to get in contact with Julie went unanswered. Julie was scheduled to attend a horse show with her sister last weekend; the two have been riding together all their lives. The son of the couple Julie was house-sitting for met family members at the home last Friday. Inside, Julie's full suitcase, cell phone and key rings were found. Her wallet and grey 2009 Kia Sportage car key were missing, as was the car itself.
Adding to the concern was an email found on Julie's computer, which she had left at her own home in Greencastle. According to sister Rachel, it was a note from Julie's bank stating that her debit card had been suspended due to suspicious activity.
Julie was featured on Monday, August 15, in Dateline's 'Missing in America' digital series.
