UPDATE MISSING IN AMERICA: Body of Kristy Kelley Found

UPDATE (September 17th, 2014):

Police in Evansville have confirmed the body of missing young mother Kristy Kelley was found inside her submerged vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

Warrick County Sheriff Brett Kruse told local NBC affiliate 14 News detectives were able to identified Kelley based on descriptions of the clothes she was wearing the night she went missing. A medical examination to confirm her identity and cause of death will be conducted Wednesday morning. Kruse said although it hasn't been positively confirmed, detectives have no reason to believe the body is anyone but Kelley.

An independent sonar search and recovery group located Kelley's 2003 Nissan X-Terra at the bottom of a lake in Bonnville, Indiana. The vehicle was removed from the water and Kristy's body was found inside.

The 27-year-old mother of two has been missing since August 15th after not returning home from a Boonville VFW club.
