Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black are expecting their first child

The Oscar-winning screenwriter and the Olympic diver made the announcement Wednesday on social media.

Academy Award-winning American screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and British Olympic diver Tom Daley announced on social media Wednesday that they are expecting their first child.

Black, 43, and Daley, 23, each posted a photo on Instagram where they are pictured holding an ultrasound image. The social media photos were accompanied by Valentine’s Day wishes.

A spokesperson for Daley confirmed to NBC News that “Tom and Dustin are thrilled to share that they are expecting their first child in 2018.”

The couple tied the knot at a castle in England last May, more than two years after they announced their engagement in the Births, Deaths and Marriages column of the Times of London.

The “Milk” screenwriter and the Olympic bronze medalist have been dating since 2013. They currently live in London.
