Health officials worldwide are working to contain cases of Covid-19.

This map is updated daily before 11:00 a.m. ET, with the latest numbers from NBC News and the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center.

More than 140 million people have been sickened and more than 3 million have died of the coronavirus since January 2020, according to NBC News and Johns Hopkins University.
