He has also covered technology, civil liberties and legislative attempts aimed at taming the Internet. Meeks helped pioneer online journalism before the word “Internet” was coined. As a plaintiff, he is 1-for-1 in attempts to have Internet-based content restriction laws declared unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court (Reno v. ACLU).
