Bali Bargain this Winter from $1080
Don’t want to wait for your Bali adventure? Lucky for you, Asian Affair Holidays is offering a super special for departures from New York, San Francisco, or Los Angles between January 31 and March 31, 2007. $1080 buys you airfare, airport transfers, five nights at a deluxe hotel, daily breakfast, and three guided tours with lunch. Pick between lodging in a superior room at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa which, claims Frommer’s has “more local style than most, with a friendly, laid-back demeanor appropriate to the beachside” or in a room with an ocean view the Nikko Bali Resort.

Bali All-Inclusive Package for $1559
For an all-inclusive bargain in balmy Bali this winter look to Virgin Vacations — a seven-night package that includes airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco, accommodations at the beachfront Bali Tropic Resort & Spa, all meals, domestic alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, non-motorized water sports, airport transfers, and three guided tours will set you back just $1559. The package is good for travel through March 31.

Bali Fling from $749 through early June
The spring is a great time to visit Bali, and Escapes Unlimited lets you do just that – for less. A five-night vacation with airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco, three nights in a mid-range hotel at either Sanur Beach or Legian/Kuta Beach plus two nights in Ubud (or five nights at the same hotel), daily breakfast, and a half-day tour of Bali’s villages and temples costs just $749. Departures from New York are $200 extra and upgraded digs are also available — stay in at the five-star Four Seasons for $2519. If you’re not content to laze the days away a host of additional activities — ranging from mountain biking to Balinese dance classes — are also available.

Bali Through an Artist’s Eye for $2860
Bali isn’t just beautiful beaches — there’s so much culture to soak up too. Asian Pacific Adventures offers a 14-day package that covers both. “Bali: Through An Artist’s Eye” is available for three 2007 departures priced from $2860; the first available is May 12. The price does not include airfare (estimated at $1250 from Los Angeles) but does cover a variety of activities and tours as well as boutique lodging in the mountain village of Ubud. You’ll visit charming villages and seaside communities, enjoy theater and music performances, attend lectures on shadow puppetry and Indonesian textiles, walk through rainforests to learn about age-old herb remedies, and relax on secluded beaches.

The dollars
All package pricing is based on double occupancy and excludes air taxes and fees. See above for details.

Note that the quoted price for the last package assumes a group of 6+. For smaller groups (2–3 members), the price jumps up to $3180.

The catch
Get ready for a long flight.
