One man is dead after a shooting at a Gloucester car dealership.
Ted Anthony Brown, 47, from Middlesex, was shot at the Gloucester Toyota dealership on Route 17 around 8:30 Monday morning. The shooting occurred in the dealership parking lot and witnesses said a man was taken into custody.
The suspect is Meredith Mack Robbins, Jr., 52. He is from White Stone. He is being charged with 1st degree murder.
Police said Brown was Robbins' intended victim. He waited for Brown outside in a pickup before shooting him. Robbins, Jr. is married. Police would not comment on Robbins, Jr.'s possible motivation for the shooting. He does not have a criminal record.
