A man recently released from prison after serving seven years for setting fire to a New York church returned to the scene of the crime and beat up a priest, police said Monday.
Calvin Bostick got out of prison on Feb. 12 after serving the maximum sentence for setting fire to St. Anthony of Padua Church in Queens in February 1999.
Police say Bostick went to the church 11 days after getting out of prison and beat the priest with a cane.
Bostick is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
