Brian Williams anchored "NBC Nightly News" from the Virginia Tech campus Monday and Tuesday night, and will do so again on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, NBC Investigative reporter Lisa Myers took a look at the serious questions that have been raised about how authorities at Virginia Tech handled the first shooting incident, and whether a different response might have saved lives.

Tom Costello reported on how online social networking has helped friends and families of victims stay in touch and receive news — from e-mail and blogs, to "Facebook."

"Dateline" had another special broadcast on the tragedy on Tuesday, 8 p.m., anchored by Stone Phillips from Virginia. NBC's Chris Hansen spoke with the owner of the Roanoke Firearms, where the gunman bought one of his weapons.
