Two people were found dead Friday morning in North Omaha, and they have been identified as Monte J. Williams, 24, and Shawnik N. Wilson, 27. Officer were called to the area of 25th and Pinkney streets at about 1:30 a.m. for a report of shots being fired. Police said that when officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds inside a car. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Several bullet holes were seen on the vehicle.
No arrests have been made.
"We have to get out there and change peoples lives. Too much killing. Too much babies have babies and mis-treating one another," said the Rev. John M. Herron of Speech Temple AME Zion Church.
There are 20 homicides in Omaha so far this, including two officer-involved deaths.
