A sports car carrying four teenagers crossed into oncoming traffic, struck another car and rolled, killing the four teens, police said. They said the car’s speed may have been a factor.

“They basically had been at a friend’s house, swimming — a typical summer night,” police Lt. Tom Grimaldi said.

Investigators have not said how fast either car was traveling or what other factors might have been involved.

A woman in the other car was critically injured in the crash late Thursday, and two people with her had to be treated at hospitals for less serious injuries, Grimaldi said.

The teens killed in the crash were identified as driver Sean Landry, 19, and passengers Myles Gosselin, 17, Jordan Gagnon, 16, and Alyssa Roy, 16.
