A Turkmenistan Airlines Boeing 757 flight was canceled Monday after the aircraft damaged one of its wings by brushing against the airport terminal building in a northern Indian city, an official said.

None of the plane's 200 passengers bound for the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat, were injured, said Ravi Sharma, an official of the Airports Authority of India.

The accident occurred after the passengers boarded the flight and the plane was turning out of its boarding bay in the northern Indian city of Amritsar, he said.

An inquiry has been ordered into the incident, Sharma said.
