If you’re dreaming of a little Las Vegas fun in your life, now is the perfect moment to make the fantasy come true. Not only is the weather beautiful, after the sweltering summer heat, but the prices are just right, too! Case in point: we found a whole slew of terrific specials to the Sin City, both for hotels only as well as air-land combos. These start at just $50/night for a sojourn at a popular resort on The Strip and $237 for an air-land fling at another excellent Strip property. With these stellar deals, you will save big bucks and have lots of fun to boot!
Ancient Egypt on The Strip from $237
Want to experience a taste of ancient Egypt right on The Strip? Expedia has just the right deal: a two-night extravaganza at the Egyptian-themed Luxor, with air thrown in, now sells for $237! This price covers the flight from Los Angeles (Seattle departures are available for $293) and a sojourn at one of the most happening Las Vegas resorts. In addition to extensive facilities, this 30-floor pyramid features replicas of the famous Sphinx, Cleopatra’s Needle, the Ramses statue, and King Tut’s Tomb. Fodor’s writes, “Rooms are large and continue the Egyptian motif, with scarabs, palms, ankhs, and hieroglyphic design elements.” Note that these packages are available for midweek departures on Oct. 8 only!
Stellar Specials at Caesars Palace & Tropicana
If your flight’s already booked, we spotted excellent hotel deals on Orbitz that will save you some serious dollars. Case in point: Rates at top-rated Caesars Palace are discounted to $120/night, as opposed to their wallet-busting nightly cost of $200, and over. Of this Roman-inspired Strip landmark, Frommer’s writes, “It's the most Vegas-style hotel you'll find, covering all the bases from the tacky fabulous cheese of the recent past to the current trend in high-end luxury.” On the budget end, Orbitz also provides great opportunities for saving a chunk of change. For example, rooms at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino, a long-time cheapie favorite on The Strip, with all the bells and whistles of a Vegas resort, start at $50/night!
Vacation packages at the Venetian & Treasure Island
Another deluxe air-hotel combo that caught our eye is currently on offer by Travelocity: a three-nighter at the plush Venetian for $451! This is a chance to see the picturesque canals of Venice without squandering your savings on a trip to Italy. Of the property, Gayot.com writes, “The 63-acre resort re-creates the romance, Old-World charm and festival-like atmosphere of old Venice.” This luxury package is fabulously affordable if you take into account that the Venetian’s rates typically run north of $250/night! The quoted price covers air from Los Angeles; other departure cities are available at low extra cost. For a midrange sojourn on The Strip, we recommend the Travelocity jaunt at Treasure Island now priced at just $263, for three nights’ lodging and air from L.A.
The prices of all of the above deals are based on double occupancy. The air-land combos exclude air taxes and fees while the hotel specials exclude hotel taxes and service charges.
