In the last few months, three new notable hotels opened up in Southeast Asia so we introduce you to these deluxe properties that are already getting rave reviews. From Singapore to Thailand and Cambodia, now you can enjoy sojourns at these spots from just $95/night!
St. Regis Singapore
Opened in December 2007, the ultra-luxurious St. Regis Singapore — Southeast Asia’s first St. Regis property — has a superb location in the heart of downtown Singapore. This gleaming landmark is an eminent new address, with 99 beautifully appointed units with immaculate detail — crystal chandelier, original art piece or lush designer fabric — and one of Asia’s finest private art collections. The stellar Remède Spa features a sensorial lounge with aquarium, heated wave loungers, and a cedar wood sauna. Regular rates here average $555/night.
Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi, Thailand
In Thailand, the latest opening is the Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi in spectacular Phang Nga Bay. The villa accommodations here provide generous space and feature elegantly designed sustainable architecture that echoes an intimate plantation estate. Each unit comes with an open-style bathroom, a private infinity-edge pool with sundeck, dazzling views of the bay and butler service that caters to guests’ whim. Facilities include on-premise dining, a spa with a traditional Thai long house and a menu of holistic treatments, and a private beach. Rates start at $684/night.
Hotel Be Angkor, Siem Reap
Cambodia’s jungle outpost of Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat temples, just got a brand-new hotel. And a pretty unique one at that! With only three suites, each showcasing the work of a locally-based artist, this design-centric property has an irresistible personal touch. Whether you want to stay in the colorful Saffron Room; luxuriate amidst the sculpted wilderness of the Bamboo Room; or enjoy the grandeur of the Sepia Room, you’ll be treated to a special sojourn. Each suite is a two-level pied-à-terre with rooftop terrace offering amazing views of Siem Reap. Rates start at $95/night.
All nightly rates quoted above are based on double occupancy. At St. Regis Singapore, the $555/night rate is a low introductory offer, if you take into account the top-rated facilities. The rate quoted for the Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi property is valid for low-season stays, between April and October. If you want to go through mid-May, the rate climbs to at $916/night. The rate of $95/night for a stay at Hotel Be Angkor is flat-out cheap.
