Three die as Shanghai bus 'bursts into fire'

A bus "burst into fire" in Shanghai killing at least three people during the rush hour on Monday, the official Xinhua news agency said.

The cause was not immediately known, Xinhua said, but it dropped reference to an "explosion" which it reported earlier in the day.

"Sources with the Shanghai Traffic Control Center said that the bus suddenly burst into fire," Xinhua said. "In addition to the deaths, another three passengers suffered severe burns."
