A judge ordered a 25-year prison term for a Massachusetts man who admitted he filmed himself sexually assaulting at least 30 young girls during annual trips to Southeast Asia over more than a decade.
A U.S. District Court judge on Tuesday also ordered 54-year-old William Constable to serve a life term of supervised release, pay a $50,000 fine, and forfeit property used in his crimes.
Constable, a self-employed contractor from Nantucket, pleaded guilty in March to seven counts of sexual exploitation of children and one count of possession of child pornography.
He was arrested in October when he tried to retrieve a camera he left in a Cape Cod hotel room.
Prosecutors said the camera and about 80 cassettes and compact discs later seized from Constable's home showed him sexually assaulting young girls as young as 5, sometimes two at a time.
