The companies that made the 2008 list were divided into small, medium, large and non-profit categories.  The employers were evaluated by Seattle Business Monthly based on a corporate profile and set of criteria as determined by the magazine.  The 54 businesses with the highest overall scores and the best management practices were chosen.
