The correct answer is 1,150 feet.

Lake Pend Oreille is in good company — the only American lakes deeper are Crater Lake (1,943 feet), Lake Tahoe (1,685 feet), Lake Chelan (1,419 feet) and Lake Superior (1,333 feet). Not bad, but none come close to Baikal in Siberia, Russia. This lake is more than a mile deep at 5,369 feet!
