The Dominican Navy says two migrants have been found after drifting more than three weeks at sea.
Navy Commander Edwin Dominicci says 49 other migrants died on the ill-fated voyage to Puerto Rico.
The commander says the two survivors are hospitalized in serious condition with severe dehydration and sunburn after being found by Dominican fishermen on Friday, naked on their boat just south of the Haitian coast.
Dominicci said the men would be transferred to a hospital in Santo Domingo for treatment.
Hundreds of migrants have died in recent years while trying to cross the treacherous Mona Passage that separates the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
