One adult was killed and another seriously injured in a shooting Friday in the parking lot of a school in northern Norway, national broadcaster NRK reported.
The shooting happened at the Slettaelva school in Tromsoe early Friday, NRK reported on its Web site, citing local police. News agency NTB said no children were injured in the shooting.
"Two adults are involved and both are shot. One person has been confirmed killed, and one seriously injured has been taken to hospital here in Tromsoe," police spokesman Torstein Lindquister told NRK.
He said the victims were a man and a woman. It was not immediately clear which one of them had died.
Lindquister said preliminary information suggested that one of the injured was the shooter.
