A man who says he is blind faces an arraignment Friday on suspicion of creating a disturbance on a plane delayed in Philadelphia.
Authorities say 61-year-old Nicola Cantisani, of Brussels, Belgium, became disruptive after a US Airways jet was delayed April 4 at Philadelphia International Airport. The flight to Belgium had returned to the gate because of mechanical problems.
A YouTube video appears to show police confronting a passenger as he states he is blind and loudly complains about the delay.
Defense lawyer Charles Peruto Jr. plans to fight the disorderly conduct and other misdemeanor charges. He says police refused to believe his client was blind.
Police say Cantisani is an Italian citizen.
