FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Fort Campbell officials say a 24-year-old soldier died this week after finishing a physical fitness test.
The soldier was identified Wednesday as Pfc. Marshall G. Montelus, of Rochester, N.Y., assigned to B Company, 101st Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.
The Army said the soldier was working out with his unit before he died on Monday and the incident is under investigation.
Last week a 16-year-old Fort Campbell High School football player collapsed on the field during morning practice and died.
