ELM GROVE, Wis. (AP) -- A fundraiser will be held Saturday for two men injured in a Memorial Day train collision in a Milwaukee suburb. Elm Grove police officer John Krahn rescued Monica Ensley-Partenfelder from a minivan stuck on railroad tracks near the spot where a Memorial Day parade was to start. Then he went back to get her 2-year-old son. While Krahn and Partenfelder's husband, Scott, were trying to rescue the child, a freight train hit the minivan. The woman and child were fine, but the train pushed the van into the men. Both men were severely injured. The fundraiser will help offset expenses not covered by insurance or workman's compensation. It will be at Town Bank in Elm Grove. Krahn, who is undergoing intensive physical therapy, is expected at the event. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
