Police say the robberies started on Saturday at Woof's Pet Store in Chelsea Square in Morgantown around 2:00 pm.
Tan 1 on Maple Drive was hit Sunday afternoon at about 1:15.
And Monday morning around 8:30, Maverick's Hot Spot at South University Avenue Plaza was also robbed.
"One of the employees was outside at the time when a male subject wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, armed with a hand gun with black gloves, grabbed the employee, took her inside the business and did the armed robbery inside," says Morgantown Police Sergeant Stephen Ford.
All three robberies happened in broad daylight and police say, each time employees were held at gun point.
The Maverick's robber was chased by an employee of a neighboring store.
He ran along South University Avenue and up Callen Avenue to the First Ward.
Police say it is likely that someone saw the chase.
"There's a lot of traffic on South University Avenue," says Ford. "I would say it is highly likely that someone saw something."
Ford says the Woof's and Maverick's suspects descriptions are very similar.
The Tan 1 suspect is also about 6 feet tall with similar clothing.
The owners of Woof's Pet Store and Tan 1 both declined to comment.
