Move in Begins at ISU

67 hundred students begin moving into the ISU residence halls today.

The carts, the boxes, suitcases pillows computers… all will be piled high in just a little while.

It’s the start of move in day for underclassmen at I-S-U.

Over the next two days… 67 hundred students will flock to the campus for the start of the fall semester.

It’s an exciting and anxiety filled time for many students and their parents.

I-S-U officials are trying to make the move in process anxiety free.

For the last two years students have received a two hour window to move in.

I-S-U officials that process has worked will in the past… and continues this year.

Temporary traffic patterns will be established for the area around Watterson Towers and Hewett and Manchester halls on the east side of campus.

Road Closures for Move In Day:

North Street will be one-way East from School Street to Fell Avenue

Fell Avenue will be one-way South from Mulberry Street to College Avenue

Fell Avenue will be one-way South from North Street to Beaufort Street

Fell Avenue will be close from College Avenue to North Street

Hale Street will be one-way West between University Street and Main Street

Dale Street will be one-way West between University Street and Main Street

University Street will be closed between Hale Street and Dry Grove Street
