State and local police arrested more than 100 people and took a total of about 350 people in to custody in a crackdown on underage drinker at a country music festival over the weekend.
The law enforcement attention to drinking at the New England Country Music Festival came a year after two young women who had attended the festival died in a car crash on Route 1.
Police charged at least 114 people with criminal offenses and placed at least 228 people in protective custody.
Last year, 176 people were taken into custody at the event.
Foxborough Police Chief Edward O'Leary says this year's event, headlined by Kenny Chesney, drew more than 56,000, was a long and challenging one for public safety.
