BILLINGS - Stillwater Mine officials confirmed Tuesday that the company met with General Motors last Thursday to discuss a new palladium contract. But according to Stillwater officials, the meeting with GM did not produce any positive results for the company. During the brief meeting, GM officials made it clear they are not interested in reconsidering the terminated contract with Stillwater and will continue to buy palladium from suppliers in Russia and South Africa. The company however, did not rule out the possibility of a competitive supply relationship with Stillwater in the future. In the meantime, Stillwater says it will sell all of the metals it produces to other customers.
