A well-known Hawaii publicist who championed the arts, entertainment and restaurants has died of cancer.
Public relations firm owner Elissa Josephsohn battled a rare form of ovarian cancer for more than two years and helped raise funds for cancer causes.
Last November, friends gathered at a fundraiser to help her cover medical expenses.
Josephsohn was treated by doctors in Honolulu and at Cedars Sinai Women's Cancer Center in Los Angeles.
Plans are underway for a memorial service at Hawaii Theater with a date and time to be announced later.
Josephsohn was 60.
