Pilot survives crop duster plane crash

EAST GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) _ The pilot of a crop-dusting plane that crashed in a field of sugar beets outside East Grand Forks has been released from the hospital.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the pilot was sent home after being treated for injuries in Saturday morning's crash.

The plane, which is owned by the Agrimax, was spraying crops when its left wing sheared off.

The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
