BAE Systems PLC, the world's No. 2 defense contractor, said it received a $59 million U.S. Army contract to produce 109 light armored vehicles for Iraq.
The contract with the U.S. Army Tank Automotive & Armaments Command also includes 10 mine roller kits.
The equipment will be delivered to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and Interior.
BAE Systems will begin delivering the vehicles in May 2010 with final deliveries expected by October 2010.
So far, the company has delivered more than 600 of the "ILAVs."
