Britain's Ministry of Defense says a soldier has died after being wounded in Afghanistan.
Officials said a solder from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers died Tuesday at a military hospital in Birmingham, 190 kilometers (118 miles) northwest of London.
He had been wounded in an explosion while on patrol near Sangin in Helmand Province on Aug. 15.
His death brings the British military death toll to 207. Operations began after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
