The health care debate took a new turn during a town hall meeting on Wednesday hosted by Missouri Rep. Sam Graves.

The meeting at Park Hill High School was more focused and less volatile, and the main concern was

how

to reform the system, KMBC's Jim Flink reported.

It was the 19th of 23 town hall meetings Graves is holding. He called it the Main Street Matters Listening Tour.

Graves said health insurance reform is needed, but he said what Congress is currently considering is unmanageable and unsustainable.

"We're going to need some insurance reform -- we can't have people denied because of a pre-existing condition," Graves said.

He said reform can be achieved without a massive government takeover of health care.

Graves also said he's concerned about small business owners, and he wants them to have affordable health care.

Graves will hold four more meetings on Thursday.
