Saban: Fortunate that wounded player Deaderick not worse

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban says it’s fortunate that a Crimson Tide football player wasn’t hurt worse when he was shot during an apparent robbery attempt.

Saban said Tuesday the team is concerned with the recovery of Brandon Deaderick, not about when the defensive end will return to football.
