Lexington Police have arrested a former University of Kentucky basketball star accused of fraudulently selling UK 2009-2010 season basketball tickets.
43-year-old Edward E. Davender of Georgetown is charged with three counts of theft by deception.
Police said Davender was accepting payments in advance for the tickets, when the tickets weren't actually available for him to sell.
We're told at least three people have been identified as victims of the scam.
Davender was a McDonald's All American, a two-time All-SEC team player and went on to play for Washington in the NBA. He's also number nine on Kentucky's all-time leading scoring list.
Davander is also charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school.
