PULLMAN, Wash. - The second of three reports of assault on the Washington State University campus has been recanted.

The alleged assault took place in the early morning hours of August 24 on the Pullman campus. The woman who filed the report recanted her allegations during an interview at the Washington State University Police Department Monday night.

A different woman, who reported two other assaults, alleged to have occurred August 19 and on the evening of August 24 on the Pullman campus, had earlier recanted her allegations.

Following the reported assaults, WSU President Elson Floyd contributed $5,000 to establish a reward for information that leads to an arrest. That money will be maintained in a campus safety fund for any future rewards.
