Hawaii Parks Team To Fight Calif. Wildfires

Twenty members of firefighting teams from the National Parks Service in Hawaii head to Southern California to battle raging wildfires.

A 20-member team of firefighters from the National Parks Service in Hawaii is scheduled to join the efforts against massive wildfires in California.

The firefighters are from Hawaii Volcanoes, Haleakala, Puukohola Heiau and World War II Valor in the Pacific national parks.

The team is heading to Southern California. Fires scorched more than 120,000 acres in the region, including a massive fire near Los Angeles.
