The Attorney General’s Office and the Mississippi Department of Transportation are joining with Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson to give a fellow state employee and her family a new home.
The build on Porter Street in Jackson will be the future home of the Funches family. Dionicia Funches is employed at the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
"We signed up to help Habitat and any family who needed it and just by luck of the draw ended up helping a fellow state employee," Attorney General Jim Hood said. "It adds to the excitement of the build and is certainly an additional blessing for us."
The blitz build began Monday and will last all week, officials said.
