The widow of a Philadelphia police officer is expected to testify Wednesday at the trial of the man who admitted to killing her husband.The defendant, 23-year-old John Lewis, pleaded guilty to a general charge of murder last week for shooting Officer Chuck Cassidy in the head on Oct. 21, 2007. Now a jury must decide whether he committed first- or second-degree murder. If convicted of first-degree murder, Lewis would face either life in prison without parole or the death penalty.Judith Cassidy is expected to testify for the prosecution on Wednesday, the same day the prosecution is expected to rest its case.
