If you're shopping for toys, one consumer group warns there could be trouble in toyland.

Holiday gift-buying is here and the public interest research group says dangerous or toxic toys can still be found on America's store shelves.

The group releases its 24th annual "Trouble in Toyland" report Tuesday. The group will also introduce a new smartphone application that it says can help parents and other toy buyers avoid some hazards or report potentially dangerous toys.

Here at home, you'll be able to get a hands-on look at some of those troublesome toys. In Santa Barbara Tuesday morning, Congresswoman Lois Capps teams up with members of consumer watchdog group CALPIRGS for the "Trouble in Toyland" report release. That event begins at 10:00a.m. at the Kid's World Playground in Alameda Park. That's located at 1400 Santa Barbara St.
