o If Display Date is null, whatever is in the begin date renders.

o If Display Date is null and begin date is also null, it shows today's date.

o If “Hide Display Date” box is checked, do not render date.

o If Display Date is valid:

o Render month and day in front of caption, followed by a colon and a space. If year is previous to current year, also render year. Months should be spelled out and should adhere to AP style: Jan., Feb., March, April, May, June, July, Aug. Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec. (Examples: “Jan. 1: ” “Dec. 31, 2008: ” “April 29: ”)
