About the resort
Squaw Creek, which has consistently ranked among Condé Nast Traveler’s "Top 50 Ski Resorts in North America," rests high in the apexes of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains — the site of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. Besides its prime location (and a $53 million overhaul), the luxurious, full-service resort boasts a shopping promenade, four sit-down restaurants, and a spa.
In the activities/amenities department, Squaw Creek impresses once more, offering guests an 18-hole championship golf course, ice-skating rink, heated outdoor swimming pools, waterslide, hiking and biking trails, and even on-site cross-country ski and fly fishing centers.
As for accommodations, the resort’s 405 tastefully decorated rooms and suites are outfitted with flat-screen televisions and provide guests with unparalleled views of the surrounding mountainous landscape.
Rates are based on double occupancy and availability. Taxes and fees are additional.
Gold medals for best ski times not included.
