"NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" was the number one newscast with 10.756 million total viewers during the February 2010 sweep, according to Nielsen Media Research data. "Nightly" outperformed ABC "World News" by 27% (+2.310 million) and CBS "Evening News" by 65% (+4.223 million). "Nightly" had it’s best February sweeps viewer delivery since 2004, and it’s best advantage ever over both "World News" and "Evening News" (since at least the start of the People Meters in September 1987). Note that the February 2010 sweep included the Olympic Winter Games.
In homes, Nightly topped World News by +25% and CBS Evening News by +59%. As the number one network broadcast during the February 2010 sweep period, "Nightly" delivered a 7.0/13, with ABC "World News" in second (5.6/11) and CBS "Evening News" in third (4.4/8).
In rating A25-54, Nightly beat World News by +35% (+7 tenths) and CBS Evening News by +59% (+1 rating point). With 3.312 million A25-54 (000) viewers, Nightly saw its highest delivery in the demo since the February 2005 sweep; topping World News by +843,000 viewers and CBS Evening News by +1.253 million viewers. Nightly had its best ever February sweep advantage over World News in A25-54 (000).
