“NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH BRIAN WILLIAMS” WINS THE WEEK WITH 10 MILLION VIEWERS

"NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" was the most watched network evening newscast for the week of February 1 - 7, 2010, according to Nielsen Media Research data. During the week, "Nightly" saw 9.995 million total viewers, +1.418 million more than ABC "World News,’" 8.577 million and +3.517 million more than CBS "Evening News’" 6.478 million.

Season-to-date, Nightly leads World News by +1.070 million total viewers and is the only newscast to show year-to-year growth.

Last week, "Nightly" also led in the key demo adults 25-54. "Nightly" delivered a 2.4 rating A25-54, ahead of "World News’" 2.0 and "Evening News’" 1.6. With 2.976 million A25-54 (000) viewers last week, the newscast beat "World News" by +464,000 viewers. Season-to-date, "Nightly" leads "World News" by +467,000 viewers A25-54. This is the 63rd consecutive week "Nightly" has topped "World News" in this key demo.

As the number one network broadcast last week, "Nightly News" delivered a 6.5/12 Household rating, with "World News" in second place with a 5.7/11, and "Evening News" in third with a 4.4/8.

On its digital platforms, "Nightly" continued its strong performance last week with more than 3.3 million online streams for the week ending February 6, 2010.
