"MEET THE PRESS" RATINGS WIN/4-4-10

According to Nielsen Media Research data, for the week ending Sunday, April 4, "Meet the Press" was top-rated, attracting 2.766 million total viewers (1.9/6) +18% more (+422,000) than second place CBS' 2.344 million (1.7/5), a 27% advantage (+595,000) over ABC's 2.171 million (1.6/5) and a 180% (1,779,000) lead over FOX's 987,000 viewers (0.7 /2). "Meet the Press" delivered an additional 1,007,000 viewers with rebroadcasts on the network and MSNBC.

In Washington D.C., the NBC broadcast beat the competition with 55,000 viewers (2.1/7 HH), a +450 percent advantage over ABC's 10,000 (0.5/2), a +175 percent lead over CBS's 20,000 (1.1/3), and +90 percent more than FOX's 29,000 viewers (1.1/3).

Nationally, in the key demographics women, men and adults "Meet the Press" was No. 1 in each category. Among the key demographic adults 25-54, the NBC program had a 0.7 rating, CBS and ABC tied for second with a 0.6, and Fox came in last with a 0.3 rating.

Last week's guests were Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, Dr. Christina Romer; Former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff; a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA); and Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT). The roundtable featured The New Yorker's David Remnick, also author of the new book "The Bridge: The Life and Rise of Barack Obama"; and Time's Rick Stengel.

On its digital platforms, "Meet the Press" generated more than 253,000 online video streams from April 4 through April 8, 2010. The "Meet the Press" video podcast (available at ) remains the top ranked network Sunday Morning program podcast on iTunes.
