World famous and award-winning photographer Peter Lik has signed with NBC's Peacock Productions to star in an action/adventure reality series currently in development. The announcement was made today by Sharon Scott, Executive Vice President of Peacock Productions.
"It's not as much about photography as it is about Peter, the characters he meets and his incredible adventures to the far reaches of the earth to get the shot," said Scott.
"To be able to document and share my journeys in real time from both sides of the lens is an incredible opportunity," said Lik. "I'm thrilled to be partnering with Peacock on the series and ready to rock and roll."
Lik's quest for the perfect shot is unending. He travels the globe, driven by a vigorous determination to capture the beauty that he sees and his profound respect for nature. Long recognized for his signature panoramic images, Lik is the most awarded and most collected fine art photographer in history. His mantra: one shot.
Lik has received acclaim from some of the most prestigious organizations in the world. In February of 2010, he was awarded the Master of Photography by the Professional Photographers Association for excellence in photography. And in 2003, Lik was given a similar honor by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).
