Hike from hut to hut and explore a 56-mile-long stretch of the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire's White Mountains.

The Real Deal: The Appalachian Mountain Club is offering a fifth-night-free special at all 10 of its New Hampshire huts and lodges in the White Mountains: Guests pay for a minimum of four nights and stay the fifth night free of charge. Packages include shared lodge and hut accommodations (with shared bathrooms), complimentary breakfast, home-cooked dinners, guided nature walks, and natural history lectures.

The package is valid at the club's eight huts (Lonesome Lake Hut, Greenleaf Hut, Galehead Hut, Zealand Falls Hut, Mizpah Spring Hut, Lakes of the Clouds Hut, Madison Spring Hut, Carter Notch Hut) and two roadside lodges (Joe Dodge Lodge at Pinkham Notch and Highland Lodge at Crawford Notch). Rates start at $341 per person for three nights in a hut and two nights at the Joe Dodge Lodge—plus estimated taxes from $17.
