Four South Florida residents are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud in what federal authorities say was a $2.3 million dollar mortgage fraud scheme.
The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Monday the arrests of 39-year-old Anson Joachin of Parkland; 35-year-old John Fisher of Jupiter; 35-year-old Tracey Balli of Pembroke Pines; and 33-year-old Delano McLennon of North Lauderdale.
Joachin was arrested on Friday in Atlanta. He had his initial appearance and was ordered held until his transfer to Florida. The other defendants have their initial appearances in Miami next week.
The indictment says the four fraudulently obtained high value mortgages to buy and sell properties in Broward and Palm Beach counties using fake documents.
