A master of polo, the "Sport of Kings" and renowned Ralph Lauren model, Ignacio "Nacho" Figueras has made his mark in the equestrian world.  Nacho Figueras has brought polo to a new market and broadened the appeal of the timeless sport.  Nacho has teamed up with Work to Ride, a 501(c)3, non-profit that helps inner-city kids develop self-discipline and life skills by learning how to ride and care for horses.

Two Trees Farm, the home of Bridgehampton polo, will play host to the First Annual Sunday Classic with a private polo match, cocktails, and a silent auction with the VIPS, trendsetters and tastemakers of the east coast.

The Sunday Classic will begin with a cocktail hour and private polo tutorial with Nacho Figueras and children from Work to Ride.  Following the tutorial, Nacho and select players in the polo community will compete for the first ever "Work to Ride Avantair Trophy." Joining Nacho on his team will be several children from Work to Ride. The event will continue with a champagne reception, Avantair trophy presentation and DJ series.

A Silent Auction will run throughout the event with proceeds benefiting Work to Ride.  Auction items include fine art, hotel and resort packages, restaurant packages, tickets to sporting and entertainment events in the New York metropolitan area, designer apparel and fine jewelry. About Work to Ride:

Work to Ride (WTR) is a 501(c)3, non-profit community-based prevention program that aids disadvantaged urban youth through constructive activities centered on horsemanship, equine sports and education. The program is housed at Chamounix Stables, located in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia. This setting provides a unique opportunity to bring urban youth in contact with animals and nature. Work to Ride is designed as a long-term program for 7 to 19 year-old youth, who must commit to a minimum of one year of participation. It is, however, expected that participants will choose to remain with the program through high school graduation.
